FOR INTERNATIONAL BUSINESSES
Send SMS to Bangladesh from anywhere in the world
GotiSMS lets businesses based in any country send SMS to Bangladeshi mobile numbers on every local operator. Sign up online, send from the dashboard or the REST API, and reach customers in Bangladesh with local sender IDs and messages in Bangla or English.
Create an account online and start sending to Bangladesh without a local office.
Messages reach Grameenphone, Robi (incl. Airtel), Banglalink and Teletalk.
Use an approved brand name or a local non-masking sender customers recognise.
Call our REST API from servers in any region, with optional IP allow-listing.
A Bangladesh SMS gateway for international businesses
GotiSMS is a specialist: it delivers SMS to Bangladesh only. That focus is useful if you are a company outside Bangladesh with customers, users or staff there. Instead of a global provider that treats Bangladesh as one route among hundreds, you get local routes on every operator, local sender IDs, and an understanding of the country's rules on content and timing.
Your business can be located anywhere. You sign up online, top up your wallet, and send through the dashboard or the API. Recipients receive the message like any other local SMS.
If you need to send to other countries as well, you would use GotiSMS for Bangladesh alongside another provider for the rest.

Integrate from any country
The GotiSMS SMS API is a REST/JSON interface you can call from servers in any region. Authentication is a Bearer API key, and the optional IP allow-list lets you restrict each key to your own infrastructure, wherever it is hosted.
Phone numbers can be sent in local format (01712345678) or international format (8801712345678 or +8801712345678), which is convenient if your system already stores numbers in E.164.

Our tutorial on sending SMS to Bangladesh from abroad covers setup in more detail.
Sender IDs and local rules
Recipients in Bangladesh trust messages that look local and familiar. You have two options:
- Masking sender ID: your brand name (up to 11 letters) as the sender. Each sender ID must be approved before use, and approval may require details showing the name belongs to your business. See masking SMS.
- Non-masking sender: a regular number that works on every network. Every account gets one by default, so you can start immediately.
Bangladesh also separates traffic by type. Transactional and OTP messages can be sent at any time. Promotional messages can only be sent between 09:00 and 21:00 Bangladesh time (UTC+6), and the exact text of each campaign is approved by the operators first. If your team works in another time zone, schedule promotions in Bangladesh time, not your local time.
Write for your Bangladeshi audience
Many recipients in Bangladesh read English comfortably, but a message in Bangla often feels more personal and is easier for a wider audience, including older family members.
Keep the cost difference in mind:
- English (GSM-7): 160 characters per single SMS, 153 per part for longer messages.
- Bangla (Unicode): 70 characters per single SMS, 67 per part.
Billing is per part, so a Bangla message usually needs to be shorter to stay in one SMS. One emoji also switches a message to Unicode. If you are translating content, ask a native speaker to review it; machine translation of Bangla can read awkwardly. Our guide to Bangla Unicode limits has practical examples.
Paying in Taka from abroad
GotiSMS accounts use a prepaid wallet in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT). Each SMS part is deducted from your balance as you send.
Within Bangladesh, the wallet can be topped up with bKash online, or by bank transfer, cash or manual Send Money with proof that our staff verify. If you are paying from outside Bangladesh, email support@gotisms.com before your first top-up and we will help you find a suitable way to fund your account.
Indicative prices start from ৳0.18–0.25 per non-masking SMS and ৳0.40–0.60 per masking SMS; enterprise and API volumes are priced individually. See pricing, or contact us to discuss your volume.

Both work. Bangla often feels more personal, but Unicode fits 70 characters per SMS versus 160 for English, so keep Bangla messages short.
